These services are mutually exclusive - You can only be in Steam 1 or Stream 2 - NOT BOTH

Stream 1 - An individual client of the Velo Health Equipment Consultation service (Cannot be a client or patient Lawrence Park Cardiology)
Stream 2 - patient at Lawrence Park Cardiology (Cannot be a client of the Velo Health Equipment Consultation service)

  • If you are a patient in the LPC x Velo Health medical program, you are not eligible for the commercial equipment consultation services. This ensures your medical care remains entirely independent of any commercial interests.

  • If you are a client of the equipment consultation service, you cannot simultaneously be a patient in the LPC x Velo Health medical program.

  • No Cross-Referral or Solicitation: Patients in the medical program will not be solicited for, or referred to, the commercial equipment consultation services. Likewise, equipment consultations will not be used as a venue to solicit or provide medical advice.

  • Transition: If a client engaged in equipment consultation (non-medical) subsequently wishes to seek medical services, the commercial relationship must conclude before any engagement as a patient at Lawrence Park Cardiology, which requires a standard, independent medical referral process.

STREAM 1 - Velo Health Equipment Consultation service
This service provides personalized analysis and recommendations regarding cycling technology, engineering, aerodynamics, frame geometry, and equipment optimization.

  • Scope of Service: This service is strictly technical and mechanical.

  • Role Clarification: While Velo Health was founded by Dr. Houman Khosravani, his role within this specific stream is solely as a technical consultant.

  • No Medical Advice: Information provided in this stream does NOT constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Velo Health is not operating as a medical clinic in this capacity. We make no representations that equipment optimization will result in specific health outcomes. You must consult your own physician regarding health concerns or before making changes to your exercise regimen.

  • No Physician-Patient Relationship: Engaging in this service does NOT establish a physician-patient relationship.

  • Financial: This is an uninsured service and is not covered by the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP).

STREAM 2 - Lawrence Park Cardiology
This service involves comprehensive, physician-led cardiovascular and fitness assessments provided in affiliation with the Lawrence Park Cardiology clinic (lpcardiology.com).

  • Scope of Service: This stream involves the provision of medical assessments, diagnostics (e.g., ECG, stress echocardiography, Holter monitoring), and evidence-based health guidance by licensed physicians.

  • Medical Advice and Care: This is a formal medical service.

  • Physician-Patient Relationship Established: Engaging in this service establishes a formal physician-patient relationship. This relationship is governed by the standards of medical practice in Ontario and applicable laws, including the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA).

  • Referral Required: As a specialized medical consultation, this service requires a referral from a family physician or nurse practitioner, as per standard medical practice protocols in Ontario.
